Painting Workshop at Carmen's Gallery
FEB 28 - 29: DEBRA HOWARD "Exploring Color Theory in Painting" - This workshop will explore color theory, value, hue and color intensity. Using a limited color palate, Howard will show you how to mix any color you want using 3 - 4 primary colors plus black & white. You will be painting 2 acrylic abstract paintings. Each workshop is $100/day/student plus a materials fee. Each workshop has been planned to accommodate every student from beginner to more advanced. These are GREAT instructors! Rock-N-Roll for Rescues
The Fabulous Hubcaps Fundraiser for the Calvert Humane Society
When: Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 07:30PM
Where: Holiday Inn Solomons Island
Do you like a little bit of Rock-N-Roll and have a passion for animals? We do! The Fabulous Hubcaps will be hosting a Saturday night fundraiser for the Humane Society of Calvert County on March 24, 2012 beginning at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $40.00. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. There will also be a Silent Auction and 50/50 Raffle.

12th Annual Taste of Solomons
The Solomons Business Association is once again hosting its annual Taste of Solomons event on Saturday, March 31 from 11 am to 4 pm. You will be able to experience and share food and drink samplings from a variety of Solomons' restaurants.... It's a great way to try all of the different culinary inventions available in the area! Food and drink tickets will be $4 each and available for purchase at participating Solomons restaurants.

Awards Dinner to Benefit the Library
Please join the Calvert Library Foundation in celebrating and bestowing its first award on Sen. Mike Miller and in honoring the memory of Donnie Radcliffe on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at the Solomons Island Yacht Club, Solomons, Md.
